At 7:55 this morning I arrived at my desk. At 8:15 a fellow team member who arrives similarly early sent a "Doctor's Orders!" email to follow-up on our initial morning greeting and tell me to go home. By 9am I was back in my bed with my still-warm hot water bottle.

In reality I wasn't feeling awful but I woke up 4 hours later feeling very thankful for that lovely staff member and working with the team that I do.

After a lazy lunch, trip to the shop for supplies, a little tidy up and some pointless Internet browsing* I'm starting to feel better. Last night's crumble reheated and hot Ribena & lemon are my remedies of choice at the moment! only wish I had taken a sick day last week. Pride has a funny way of sneaking up on you, doesn't it?

*This video made my eyes rather puddly and this one put a smile to my face but it turns out that there is a new one which is also wonderful (and absolutely the sort of thing that would give me puddly eyes if I was there!).
