Advent Day 15...

This is not Santa Claus, it's Santa Paws..... I called in at the Betty & Butch Dog Lifestyle store on Barlow Moor Road in Chorlton. It really is one of my favourite stores in the city and I don't actually have a dog! It looks like a well appointed boutique on King Street and smells of incense instead of stale dog food like most pet shops. Everything is beautifully set out, no more so than in the run up to Christmas. They have unusual gifts for your dog and the food they sell is all organic and made from the finest ingredients. I've heard that some of the dogs' owners have actually tasted the dogs' treats that they sell and have found them very good indeed.

During December they have been raising money for a Manchester based charity (in Sale) that looks after abandoned animals. The local dogs came, with their people, for a meet and greet with Santa Paws and got a nice pre Christmas gift. Money raised went to the charity. When I was there, there was a long queue of well behaved dogs waiting to meet Santa Paws.. Lovely idea....
