He's behind you!

I took both daughters with Ella and Thomas to see their first pantomime today, "Beauty and the Beast" at Whitley Bay Playhouse, a really nice comfy little theatre. It was great fun, enjoyed by all of us. It was a privilege to be there to see the little ones' first experience of live theatre. Ella who was totally enraptured. Thomas kept calling for more dancing when there was too much inane chat. Ella joined in to call "Bonjour Jacques", "he's behind you!" etc, and clapped and danced. They had popcorn for the first time and there's plenty of pictures of that, but I wasn't able to capture their enchanted faces during the performance.

Dark blue and magenta are colours I love to paint with and I like the vivid, wet in wet watercolour look of what here is a blown up bit of a rubbish shot of one scene with ghouls and ghosts in the panto.
