Wheal Mexico.
About 250years old but no-one is completely sure.
A tin and copper mine abandoned about 1840.
As it was wet and cold we caught the bus to Geever and went into the mining museum. We were the only visitors today so got a personal tour of the workings and a trip below ground in this old mine.
Had a pastie for lunch and after some more time in the museum caught the bus back.
One quite moving part was the miners' changing rooms which had the lockers with clothes and papers and boots still in them just as if the shift were about to come into work.
