Green grow the Panettones

Busy but highly satisfactory day with the handyman here, moving furniture and clearing out in preparation for guests who arrive on the day we get back from the UK - and for our Open House on NYE.

Tired but happy at the end of the day, we had to try out the Prosecco we'll be serving on NYE. Of course, it went straight to our heads, but we managed to weave our way down the road to our favourite 'local' restaurant to share a steak. On the way, we passed the cake shop above. It's almost criminal the way the wonderful smells invade your nostrils before you come reach the shop, and follow you down the road after you pass it (particularly cruel to HH, who can't eat gluten). On the way home, our steps strayed yet again to the gelato shop.

Chantler 63's December challenge for today is Green, hence the shot of the panettones piled up in their green boxes. My gelato was also green (Mint and chocolate), but was melting so fast I had to concentrate on eating, rather than photographing it.
