A 12-13-14 Wedding

From watching the national news all week, I guess a lot of people applied for a marriage license for 12-13-14. When you think about it, the month-day-year in order won't happen again until January 2, 2103, 89 years from now. Then, it will be 1-2-3. Not many of us will be around to witness that one.

Heather, a friend of my daughter Karen, got married. My daughter was in the wedding. As you can see, the church was lovely, the brides dress was lovely, and Christ was looking down on them. If you want to see the beautiful bride from the front, I've put two other pictures on my FLICKR PAGE. Make a vow (ha!) to see them.

If it would have been me...I would have had the wedding at 9 (hour), 10 (minute), 11 (second), 12 (month), 13 (day), 14 (year.) That's right. 9:10 a.m. Get people up, and going. Then, I would have served a crowd-pleasing brunch, with an egg casserole, biscuits and gravy, and bowl after bowl of fresh fruit. With no beer, wine, or liquor. Orange juice only. But, that's just me.

It was a nice wedding and reception, with only one complaint. WHY DO THEY HAVE TO HAVE THE MUSIC SO LOUD? When you're sitting at your tables, you practically have to scream to talk.

Good luck to Heather and Corey. My shot from the balcony reminds me of the wedding scene from The Sound of Music. The hills are alive...

11:16 p.m. Going to bed. Night-night.
