Three Spoonbills

I went a bit earlier for my walk today and found only 4 spoonbills remaining where we had seen the large group yesterday.

Two were sleeping while another stood close by - perhaps on guard duty? The fourth was a little distance away, standing on one leg, but with head erect and quite motionless.

There were lots of pied stilts, ducks, herons and seagulls busy doing their own thing all around the spoonbills but arousing very little interest from the big white birds.
