Do not disturb...

There was a large flock of spoonbills at the estuary this morning. Unusual for early in the day, none seemed interested in feeding - they just stood balanced on one leg, heads tucked into wings, with occasional preening. Most of the time they just slept.

This spoonbill was just lifting his leg back up out of the water, ready for another one legged snooze.
