Taj Mahal
We started the day with a visit to the Taj Mahal as soon as it opened in the morning. Entering took a little time as the security staff were very cautious about the Lee Lens Hoods and filter holders that several of us had. Eventually after the top man had been called out we were given clearance to enter with them. The top man did then follow us around for quite some time.
This visit had particular meaning for me as I have a photo of my father here during his national service in WW2.
It is worth reading the history of how this building (it's a mausoleum) came into being, and how the story ended.
After some breakfast we headed to the Agra Fort, which also features in the story of the Taj Mahal.
Following this visit we went to another co-operative, this time producing hand made inlaid marble. My feminine side came out and I purchased a set of coasters and a cheeseboard.
In India with JuneFox, Colstro, John Gravett, new blipper JulieAnneKay and others in Agra for our India photo adventure.
Blips from the India trip being back blipped now we are all back home with easy internet access.
