Somewhere over the Rainbow
It was really late, halfway the afternoon, before I took my chance to go to the beach. I had seen on the Weather Outlook that there was rain to come. Too late then, I sighed and renounced on a “delightful Blip”for today. But what happened as I arrived on the dune top of my Eternal Thalassa-Moment? A beach marathon was going on. Walkers, runnrs, runners all along the seaside. What can you make of that? At the same time I was struck by another surprise: a Rainbow, not really spectacular. But this bow rose frome the surf, very near to the beach. This wonderful fountain of coloured light was spouting from the final rippling waves.
Uniting Earth&Sky this god send sign filled my soul with awe. Fortunately I discovered in time
that I had set the wrong focus for my Lumix. I could readjust it and make the good photo before the current intensity of light and of the drizzle had changed.
In the South a majestic cloud formation was displaying a grandiose of cloud breaking and light beaming. This sky theatre was mirroring itself in the opposite rainbow spectacle. I have chosen the rainbow because it is such a matter of sheer luck, a gift from Fortuna, when you meet one on your way. Because, you know, our life journey, is all about keeping your faith in walking the Golden Brick Road, singing “Somewhere over the Rainbow”.
