Jackson at Glamis Castle
Bright but chilly day.
Jackson and I went over to Glamis Castle via some countryside with lots of snow. Once again, Jackson was thrilled to see the snow covered scenery.
Glamis Castle is situated beside the village of Glamis in Angus, Scotland. It is the home of the Earl and Countess of Strathmore and Kinghorne, and is open to the public.
Glamis Castle has been the home of the Lyon family since the 14th century, though the present building dates largely from the 17th century. Glamis was the childhood home of Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother, wife of King George VI. Their second daughter, Princess Margaret, Countess of Snowdon, was born there. It is an impressive, well preserved building - Jackson had not seen anything like it.
Afterwards, we braved the Christmas crowds at PC World to get Jackson a new tablet computer, his own laptop just about dying through old age. We were blessed to get a discount since it was for ministry work in East Africa.
