Christmas spirit

Sadly not. But not only a very lovely cup of coffee but a free one based on how pathetic I must have looked on my only short venturing out of the house. Despite a mega sleep woke up with a fever, splitting headache, stuffed nose and no voice at all. Made no pretence at contributing towards anything useful and stayed in bed until lunchtime. Helped immensely and after showering and dressing I headed out for some fresh air. And this lovely coffee. I do give our local deli a fair amount of business but I did think it especially kind they gave me a free coffee.

It even spurred me on enough to potter on further and I did some Christmas shopping. Including the substitute fur thing. I am becoming slightly obsessed about our new little buddy who is a week old today and am finding it very hard not to tell the kids. They've stopped mentioning it so I think they have assumed it isn't happening.

The rest of the afternoon was back on the sofa with more House and the photo books for the kids. As ever am pushing the deadline but I think I will just about make it.

Night nurse and another good night's sleep and I am hoping tomorrow I will look well enough to pay for my coffee.
