Goldfinches gone to ground

The wind of the last few days must have knocked a lot of the sunflower hearts off the birdtable on to the ground. So these little goldfinches braved the snow flurries and hidden cats to have their mid morning snack. Not a great photo - taken through a window - while they were quite actively moving. They were part of a flock of about a dozen, but only a few attempted to get at the seeds on the ground.
