View from the top

This is the view from Paulina Peak, OR, where our family has a cabin (see yesterday's blip, The Cabin). I took this photo about a mile from the top while riding down on the snowmobile (not bad considering I couldn't see exactly what I was shooting due to the helmet!) Just a short ride from the cabin, you can ride up a windy, snowy, and incredibly beautiful road to get to the top of the peak, 7984 ft.

This was the first time my husband and I had been to the peak with both of our children. A bit monumentous really...the first time my husband went to the peak on a snowmobile with his family, he was the same age as our one year old.
Just family tradition repeating itself...hopefully someday our kids will do the same.
