I'm mooning all over again!

Today I am looking very Christmassy with a red nose like Rudolf! Just as well I am not going to the office until Wednesday. Fortunately, as I had no long lie ins in Edinburgh - did I get much sleep at all?! - I had no trouble getting up this morning despite the woolly stuffy head. I think my voice would be quite alluring if my words weren't interspersed with sneezes and coughs. As for the achy hips, when I carefully walked downstairs, it was like I was someone about 140 years old!

I was quite pleased to a see a big moon when I eventually shuffled into the kitchen on my wooden legs after my shower. So, sorry it's not more exciting but well, it was there, staring disdainfully at me at 5:30am. The moon is a very elderly lady and I knew how she felt this morning.

It was so dark for so long today and it was icy cold too. It was so strange sitting behind my laptop at 6:40 again. I felt I'd been away weeks as I had packed so much in, literally.

Today was very kind to me really. I have a couple of new reports to build but by the time I'd gone through a week's worth of emails and attended to a few help desk calls, the morning was half gone and I went out to restock all the feeders. I was rewarded by a load of starlings squabbling away five minutes later with a couple of squirrels forming an orderly queue on the shed roof. So much for that, they didn't even wait until I had gone back in before they attacked the nuts!

That's it for now. I will go and rest my achy hips (and achy everything else) and dream pleasant dreams....
