Edinburgh - 'Do you come here often?'

Just a bit!

Anyway, today was the last morning and rather than save my picture taking for the plane, seeing David (my lovely host on the right) with Jane and Stephen in their Christmas jumpers was too tempting for me!

I'd missed catching David in his kilt on Friday for a posh dinner evening as I'd gone out early for the Penicuik pantomime. At least I didn't miss the jumpers this morning.

I'd had a wonderful week, as I always do, but this time had been even more special and if I could rewind the whole week and relive it endlessly, I would. That's life though. The world keeps turning and you have no choice but to keep going forward. I am, however, feeling slightly optimistic this time around. Onwards and upwards...

I shall book a March slot before this week is out.

I floated through security etc. at the airport and felt a bit like some sort of ghost not really part of the world at all. I felt quite bereft when the plane wheels left Scottish soil on the coldest morning I'd had in the last week. It was a very small propellor plane with a picture of George Best on the side. I have no idea why.

I had Sunday dinner at the Plough at Shustoke on the way home but couldn't taste anything! I have an extra souvenir in the shape of a cold and cough making me sound like Barry White. Oh well...

Roll on next time.

Track? The Stones tonight I think - Miss You
