After the Storm

Dear Diary,

The storm over the weekend added 4-5 inches of snow and then another thin coating of ice. Luckily, no outages. The little cat sculpture marking where Purrcilla is buried is nearly buried itself! But what enticed me to make this photograph was the light in the field below. It looks like it could be the ocean with the softly undulating blues "waves".

Over Thanksgiving, my friend had dug a sort of labyrinth path for his little dog to run on after the big snow storm. It is filled in now but the snow banks have created this lovely effect.

Today dawned bitterly cold, only 8 degrees fahrenheit but we have a respite from precipitation before the next storm hits tomorrow. Snow to start they say, again changing to rain. This has been a very strange start to the winter season. It can't seem to make up it's mind!
