All in a Days work
These women are lining a new water channel with a material dug from a hole in the ground, which is waterproof. This means that very little water is lost on its journey from the dam.
Note the onions in the foreground and the two new babies "on board".
Mothers carry new borns on their backs for about one and a half years.

John,
The guys in Sonda will be planting more maize next week and the tomatoes are growing well.
We went to Muzgola to see the progress, but nothing has happened on the channel as well as water diversion very sad. Mathews suggested that one day all the guys in Sonda should come to help and next time the Muzgola's will have to work in Sonda, brilliant idea.
We proceeded to Doroba, the pump was shaking, they started using it before it was dry,so we removed the bucket and put some more concrete around it. I'm grad it is now ok.
