It might be supposed to be a normal deer, but this close to winter festive period one has to be suspicious. Fortunately the festive menu at the place we were eating at was insufficiently festive to get in the way of tasting nice and the possibly-festive busyness at the initial choice of subsequent-pub meant that we ended up going somewhere else which was significantly less pubby.
