An important lesson was learnt this evening regarding the need to increase turning and cornering skills in parallel with basic straight-line speed, just in case there's a wall in the way. As well as the obvious mark where the corner of the wall impacted there's a surrounding lump which will hopefully not be sore enough to make him wake up if he rolls onto it. He started wailing immediately and reacted following the initial impact sufficiently quickly to have his hands in front of him before he re-impacted on the floor, but he was observed closely for some time afterwards to check he was behaving as usual.
