Blue sky day

What a glorious day. The sky was so blue over Kent that it might have been mid-summer, apart from the rather obvious absence of any leaves on the trees. Our beautiful birch in the front garden looked wonderful against an unbelievably clear sky. Amazingly so. It is a week into December, for goodness sake!

Daughter and I headed off to Lakeside this afternoon, where it was more retail gymnastics than retail therapy. The crowds! Anyone would think it would soon be Christmas ...

Brrrr, it's chilly this evening, and it will be even colder where I am off to tomorrow. But that will be another day's blip. I'm busy packing my thermals tonight!
