It's coming

December is travelling like an express train. It is the 6th of the month already, and as someone helpfully pointed out today, after this one there are only two more Saturdays before Christmas. Eeeek!

Festive lights are springing up all over our village. There are very elegant blue and white ones along the High Street, and a house overlooking the village green is festooned with strings of pretty white lights. The weather is turning Christmassy too. The ice warning light comes on when I start the car, and ducks on the village ponds are puffing their feathers against the sub-zero temperature.

Popped into the local supermarket late this afternoon for some provisions, and a whole wall is taken up with Christmas paintings by local schoolchildren. They make such a pretty backdrop that I couldn't resist them for today's blip.
