Risky business
Painting this morning, until quite overcome by fumes, it was time for lunch. The kids, meanwhile, were enduring their first regular iPad-free Sunday rather well. Some telly and then they got to take out their frustration hacking some render off a wall. Well, that's sort of like Minecraft, isn't it?
We had scheduled a family afternoon, part of which was to be games. Risk was chosen which, somehow, I have never played. It showed. I was very comfortably the first evil dictator voted off, which was ok as there were mince pies to be made... Mr B headed The Evil Empire and won comfortably, despite TallGirl enduring a surprising number of turns with one battalion in Afghanistan.
The next item on the agenda was for everyone to make to make Sunday lunch... The kids in fact mostly just played on the Wii, and Mr B worked his way in file style through the Bumper Book of Film Songs on the piano. And that sped the work along in fine style and, finally, I've found the secret to decent roast pork gravy - Marsala, since you ask.
A surprisingly fun day given the Minecraft sulks we were expecting, though I might have to invest in some board games I can win...
