Art on the Menu

We're home now from our brilliant weekend at the BTO Annual Conference. I was keen to to get home before dark, and before the weather closed in, as there looked to be a chance of snow, so we left promptly at the end of the conference, after lunch.
They've certainly fed us well - last night was a dinner of several courses, far more than I'm used to. We found out this morning that the lovely art work on this menu was produced as part of a joint project between the scientists of the BTO and artists of the Society of Wildlife Artists, who went to the overwintering grounds in Africa of some of our Summer migrants.
Also this morning was an amazing session where a group of young birders talked about their passion for birds.
I think there's a chance we might be back again next year.
