The "Yellow Headed” Tui!
Went for a wander around the lagoon by the house and noticed half a dozen Tui’s quietly flitting from Flax to Flax devouring as much nectar as they could - and as quick as they could.
It’s yellow flowering Flax - I don’t know all the names or varieties - and it was just in flower. All the Tui’s head’s were covered in yellow pollen from the flowers.
Amazing birds!
