The Cone of Shame

Poor little Milou went to the vets today for the 'snip' but it was a bigger procedure than Bobbie's, as one of his 'balls' was inguinal which means that it was stuck in the groin, and if it was left untreated, he would be at greater risk of tumours or testicular cancer.

Alan worked from home today and I'm glad he did as Bobbie wasn't at all happy without his brother - he kept climbing on the back of the armchair and looking out of the window for him, and kept going and sitting in Milou's crate. They both have big cuddly toys that Elaine gave them when we bought them, and Bobbie went and got Milou's cow and carried it into the living room, put it on the rug and then went to sleept next to it.

The vets called me at lunch time to say that everything had gone well and I arranged to pick him up after work. When we walked in he must have sensed we were there, because the nurse said he'd been very calm, but suddenly got excited.

Bobbie has been fantastic with him - he was excited to see him but once he'd sniffed him he seemed to sense that something was wrong, and was very calm for the first couple of hours, although now he seems to want to play! Milou looks sorry for himself here with his cone on and his bandaged leg, but he's actually doing really well.

Anyway, it's the weekend once again, hope you have a good one!
