Midday shadows over Rothbury
It was such a lovely day we decided on a long walk, to deliver a card to friends. It soon became apparent as we attempted the first mile uphill that I was struggling. I felt faint and breathless. (I had been put on a new BP drug a week ago). We took our time and I was fine going down the other side. We decided to take a longer, but easier route, but each time we hit a hill I struggled. Even on the last leg, a flat bit, I was really exhausted and dizzy. I called at the GP surgery on the way home through the village and got an appointment almost right away. Wayhey, my BP is now really good. The GP decided I should half the dose of one of the drugs, as he thought the high dose caused the symptoms. I'm happy with that, though I just hope it's all sorted by the ski season!
Mr C has just told me we walked 12 miles. The blip is looking back to the village. Our house is near the top right.
