Edinburgh Day 5 - A socialising day!

Well this is a quickie! I didn't take many pictures at all today. I started my day with my usual haggis breakfast and headed out soon after 11am. As it was a grey, but still day, I decided to walk up to Ocean Terminal. It's only a fifteen minute stroll from here and I enjoyed it.

I had a bit of a wander about in there and then caught the bus to Princes Street where I watched the Star Flyer for a little while and taking the odd picture. I was really tempted to go up again but decided against it knowing I'd be late to meet Ann, Baxter and John at Usher's for beers and chat as usual.

There is a wonderful beer selection there but I had two mugs of tea - wild party animal! - before having a really nice creamy pint of Young's London Stout. I wouldn't normally have anything with 'London' in its name but as one of the samples I was given was a bit eggy and the other smelled of strawberries which is fine for a massage oil/bubble bath but definitely wrong for a stout, I stuck with my first recommendation.

After a couple of hours putting the world to rights, we went to The Southern Bar for our dinner. The burgers in that place are wonderful! It was a lovely day and I am pleased to say I was back home by 9:30 after a pint of Great Heck Black Jesus!

I was delighted to discover while I was out that my picture from yesterday's trip to the Pentlands had hit the spotlight! Hopefully, this link will work for
more pictures from yesterday.
