Lies, damn lies and weather forecasts

Everything agreed. Calm today in North Devon.

Lies.

Looks calm here but was already breezy and choppy and was picking up all the time. It was 'doable' but when the reality doesn't agree with the forecast a little caution is necessary. So todays fishing trip was cut short, but still good with two bass of 3-4lb and a much larger one lost when it destroyed the lure.

Time running out though as they'll soon be heading offshore to winter quarters. Maybe two spring tide cycles. And looks like the Atlantic will be closed for business for at least a week now... :(
