Mobile Ear Clinic with #IMPACTNepal

Hearing impairment and deafness is the number one disability in Nepal.

IMPACT Nepal has been providing much needed Community Ear Care Services to some of the most remote regions in the Saptari district since 2010, ensuring the early identification, diagnoses and treatment of ear diseases before they develop into disabling conditions.

This Nepalese school girl is being screened as part of a rural mobile ear clinic in Rajbiraj. Mobile clinics are organized in co-operation with local schools, and alongside outreach camps teaching residents about the detection of disease and prevention of hearing impairment. This enables some of the poorest people living in remote regions to access high quality ear care services, improve their knowledge of ear care and prevent needless disability.
