Watch your step ... sleeping dogs everywhere!
We wake late this morning and stroll down the road for a leisurely breakfast. Its cold first thing but luckily the sun breaks through so after another phone call to the Indian Embassy confirming no change we take the kindle down to the lake front and sit in the sun and do a bit more research into options.
We phone Deepak, who organised our other treks, who tells us Tibet is not accessible by tourists at the moment as its not tourist season but Bhutan is an option. He'd be happy to help organise of course but we think its probably going to be expensive so say we'll contact him back if needs be. We look into flights to Thailand and they're pretty cheap with AirAsia at the moment. If we manage to get a re-entry visa extension for Nepal and the Indian visa doesn't happen by the end of next week we think we're going to head to Thailand for Christmas and New Year then back to Kathmandu. By that time it will surely be done! We're getting tired of organising everything around this but we both really want to go to India so we'll persevere and if we have to head to a sunny beach while we're waiting for it to happen, well that's not such a hardship!
This picture is taken from our sunny spot by the lake and is pretty typical of Pokhara. There are dogs everywhere and they sleep all over the place ... you need to watch every time you step off a curb, particularly in the dark.
After a late lunch we decide to give another yoga class a try. There's a kundalini one at 5pm so we book ourselves in then rush back to get changed in time. We're a little worried as neither of us has done this type of yoga before and we've heard its hardcore. However, we needn't have worried as when we get to the venue its cancelled. We think there was no one else booked on and as we were last minute the teacher had already gone home! Poor show really and we won't be going to this place again.
Perhaps we'll go back to the other one tomorrow morning instead but after a lazy day, looks like we're going to have a lazy evening so this pic is perfect :-)
