Skip It
This has become a mantra over the past few months as an endless variety of items in our garden have received their final sentence and were banished to the great garden in the sky with the call, “skip it!”
This is the last of four skips being carted away. We have been amusing many of our neighbours who have watched skips being filled on our drive followed by delivery of building supplies, effectively replacing the discarded material for new stuff. In many ways that is exactly what has occurred but the new variety is so much better than the old, which we have been eager to change since moving here thirteen and a half years ago.
Only the patio to be done now and then we will be able to sit back and enjoy the fruits of our labour (well the fruits of the landscapers’ labour). Then we can get started on the garage conversion.
No rest for the wicked!
