Pond

Best laid plans today didn't materialise, mainly due to Matt's working schedule and the utterly miserable weather today......perhaps tomorrow!

I have achieved more than I did yesterday but none of it with great enthusiasm.

Walked the dog round the village and called in on Gerald and Mary to hand a cake tin back. Mary wasn't in but had a chat with Gerald and put the world to rights, thanks Gerald.

On our walk we pass this pond, up until about 2 years ago it looked like just a clump of trees in a field but the new owner of that land set about restoring the pond and it looks great, a heron and 2 ducks flew up from there as we approached. Some people moaned about the owner pulling all the trees down but I don't think they realised that the pond existed!

The houses in the background are a recent addition to the village and are part of the rural housing scheme, allowing locals to stay living local.
