An Early Christmas Gift

Yesterday, my boss just randomly rushed in my little office room and dropped down this card and walked away immediately.

I was, not even dramatically, shocked( not really surprised at that moment to be honest). I thought it was his polite way to have me "fired". You see, this kind of haunting idea was actually not coming from nowhere, since he is always a unpredictable Englishman, a typically one in a nice way though.

When I turned to the front, there were words handwritten by him thanking me for helping him in last couples of weeks. And he wished me to enjoy this gift from him.

Inside the envelope, there were gift cards from Pageone, a major chain bookstore in which English language readings are majorly sold.

That was the first gift since I started to work and it also made him my first boss who actually gave me presents to show his gratitude.

What's more, he picked the right gift. :)
