Heidi

Heidi belongs to Steph and lives with the very fluffy Mr.Butts. Heidi has been through the wars recently, she broke her leg when a big piece of marble fell onto her 4 weeks ago. Then 2 weeks ago she started with sudden onset breathing difficulties. Being a Pug dog, breathing is not one of her strong points, she was rushed to the veterinary school hospital after my boss felt a large mass at the back of her throat. Steph had really good insurance cover and after an emergency tracheostomy, Heidi had a CT scan and a freak fish bone was found in the midst of the large soft tissue mass. It was surmised that she had inhaled the fish bone from a fish skin dog treat and it had caused sudden swelling. For the next couple of weeks she is coming to work daily with Steph so she can have her meds and stay out of trouble.
