A Colourful Fanfare for December
Only these people who were out and about, or at least had their curtains open before 8:10 this morning would have seen the intensely colourful fanfare in the sky marking this first day of December.
We were up and about and raring to go to the land of the flat pack to get another book case for the hallway, and a new lamp for my study space.
Early on a Monday morning we thought would be relatively quiet. Not so, and there was the shock of discovering that other people had the same idea with the whole place alive and crawling with punters and their barrows.
With His Lordship still in recovery mode, he decided the bookcase assembly could wait until tomorrow when I would be out at my writing class and would not be party to any possible tantrum of frustration on his part.
However as I write this, I can definitely hear noises off stage which indicate that some sort of construction is taking place.
'Twas ever thus - he says something but does the opposite, but at least there is no sound yet of his spectacles being flung across the room.
Perhaps I will wait a bit longer before emerging.
