In The Occupied Territory

Long distance runaround

Sunday.
A day of rest.

Aye, right.

We did a fair amount of running around today.

Headed over to 'urie to Home Bargains to get Xmas crackers and other things. Well we went for the other things, but got the crackers whilst we were there.
£4.99 for 10, and a better quality of crap gifts inside.

Lunch was partaken of at the garden centre, where, if you stay more than 3 hours, a company in England photo your car, get your details from the DVLC ( why are they allowed to do that? Surely it's a breach of the data protection act) and send you out a claim for a fine. This is un-enforceable in Scotland, but I am sure most folk will just pay.
Anyway, we avoided these meringues, which were easily 8-10 inches across.

The traffic was horrendous. This was due to the switching on of the Xmas lights complete with live bands, Xmas market and parade. We had no time to stop and see, as we had to go and visit a relative in the hospital.
It took a fair time and a detour to exit the town.

After that we had to pick up a vacuum cleaner from one flat and drop it over at the other one.

Back home to a dinner that was in the oven cooking.
Now settling down to Sunday's episode of I'm a celebrity get me out of here.

Happy St Andrew's Day one and all.
