Forgotten fog
A lovely sunrise followed by a wonderful sunny day. I saw that there was a Art and craft fair and a Vintage Fair on at Cromarty today so we set off just after 10 o'clock.
The light was great and we stopped at the bird hide at Udale to see what birds were around. The tide was out so most were too far away to see properly. There were the usual red shank, mallard and wigeon.
We parked outside the Old Brewery and went in to look at some lovely crafts. I bought a curved wire ring and a pretty star to hang in the window.
Not sure what the difference between Vintage and Antique is but there were a few interesting items including a scrap book of cut outs from news papers of the Queens Coronation, a butter press caught my eye as did some old sepia photos. I did nt buy anything was it was interesting to look round.
It was too nice to go straight back home so we wandered round the old medival East Church and then up through the village.
We looked in the new homeware and gift shop called 'Ingrids House' which opened today. Some great bits and pieces.
Walked back along the shore and saw these two kayaks paddle past the North Sutor. The higher of the Sutors reaching 147 metres. You can see some of the old world war one and two buildings if you look closely.
