Aloe Vera

I took this just as it was getting dark. Alexander the Great once conquered an island because it was covered with Aloe Vera, which he used for healing the wounds of his troops.

Our neighbouring island, Tenerife, had winds of up to 175 km/hour in the last couple of days in the mountains. We escaped the recent storm relatively unscathed. This is highly unusual weather for this time of year.
