Horses and Holy Island

It started bright this morning - the first time we have seen blue sky for weeks. We went for a walk on Bamburgh Beach on our way to collect #3 daughter who had been having a night away there with some women friends. But by the time we got there it had clouded over. I zoomed in to get these riders as they rode by, for the background of Holy Island (Lindisfarne) Castle. When the tide is out it possible to walk or drive over the causeway to the island. Every year people don't heed the tide time warnings, get caught and have to be rescued by helicopter. I had better pictures, of the castle, and the rocks towards the Farne Islands, but there was something I liked about this one.

After our walk we had a drink with daughter before driving her home with us. Her husband brought the children up from town, had tea and cake then left to go home to work nights. The others are having 3 days with us.
