Monkeying about!

Today we planned on going to see the Paddington movie at the early showing at 11am. However, Ida was up at 3am with her cough, so had to come in with us: result, little sleep for anyone!

7am, G got up to go to work, Arlo woke up too, and that was the whole lot of us up for the day. Because they were tired, and crabby, it was tricky getting out on time, and when we got to the cinema there were no seats left.

We went for lunch at Pizza Hut, then came back for the second showing (it was great by the way, put a lump in my throat on several occasions). As G had issued the injunction for them to 'behave for Granny, and no Monkey Business' Ida was constantly seeking reassurance that she was not doing any. Except for when we were queing up to buy our popcorn, when they were having a whale of a time pulling faces at themselves in a reflective surface.

Then we headed into town for a birthday present from the kids for their mummy. A quick look round the Chrismas markets, a wee ride on the fairground rides, and the purchase of some Minion hats, which they assured me all their friends already have!
