Freshwater well

This old well is in the corner of the field below our house. It used to be a regular visiting point for some people in the days before the mains water was piped to each household, and it is still bubbling away, although it occasionally dries out during a hot, dry summer. There are several wells scattered around the village, although none of them are used these days.
