Black Friday

It has been wonderful having our son and his wife visit us this past week. As our kids get older, they become more and more fun to be around - we no longer have to be parents, we can simply be friends who hang out together in the pool (enjoying adult beverages). The only thing that would make this week better is if our daughter could have joined us, but she is embroiled in her last semester of college and we will have to wait until January for her company. The spilt schedule does allow us to enjoy each "kid" on their own merits. We will certainly be sorry to see these two return to Seattle on Sunday.

Our contribution to Black Friday was the purchase of a new mattress. After spending last week at the luxurious Hard Rock Hotel, we determined it was time to replace our uncomfortable mattress with something closer to what we had become accustomed. No big sales, but the shop from which we bought it was very professional and they delivered it right to our door (and within five minutes of the time agreed upon time).
