Sleepout 2014

Our role this year was to provide a safe place, tea, coffee, a loo & a smile for those who needed it. And in walked Liam, who just happened to be passing on his way to find a bed on a bench in the local park. Liam is an educated, erudite journalist who, through a strange mixture of things has found himself spending his nights under a skateboard ramp. People's situations are often complex and tragic. I found it fascinating listening to Liam's story, who gave me permission to photograph and write about him, partly because he himself still writes, each day.
