Sleepout 2014

Tonight we joined with 44 others, most unknown to each other, creating a makeshift bed out of cardboard & sleeping rough in the grounds of Chelmsford Cathedral. We do this to raise awareness and funds for projects to support homelessness in our community. People just turn up, often with amazing stories of how homelessness has affected them or their loved ones. One fundraiser, 11 years old and unable to sleep out, raised £3 from chores last year and today will swim 3km, raising thousands. People's generosity is humbling. Here are two great supporters, hairdressers, who cheerfully braved the cold of November. Thank you one and all.
