Hare Shaw, Howgills

We were travelling down to Abergavenny to see S's sister, and stopped just south of Tebay to bag a Marilyn, Grayrigg Forest. As luck would have it we stopped at the very time that the sun made its only appearance in an otherwise dull day. This is the view looking over the Lune Gorge from where we parked. The hills are the Howgill Fellsand beneath us is the M6 and the west coast mainline to Glasgow. We went up the hill accompanied by the traffic noise until nearer the top when it went quiet. The view was disappointing as the mist came down; we'll go again.
