Hanging flower.

The flower of a banana passion fruit vine hangs down from amongst our native trees.This introduced vine can be quite a problem as it is very invasive. We, however,do allow a couple to flower as the fruit are lovely to eat and do make a wonderful jam [not too sweet].When I was a school boy in Nelson we would often go into the hills behind the college to gather the fruit.
