Butterbridge Delft

Boterbrug / Butterbridge in Delft with view on the towers of the old Townhall and the New Church.

This little street covers a canal underneath and you can tell that from the streets camber; it was realised in the mid 16th century like this and soon after used as the place where butter was sold up till 20th century and thus it got its name Butterbridge.

I got into town for my shopping at its weekly market on the square between townhall & the church
