The Thanksgiving Table

We are thankful that we have not been invited to eat turkey, sweet potatoes and marshmallows, green bean casserole and squash / pumpkin / zucchini / marrow pie with anyone, followed by (yawn) football.

Instead we are chilling at home, just the 4 of us, and the table is set for a scaled down Christmas dinner for Thanksgiving. Those of us who are more of the British persuasion have roast chicken, brussels, mash and roasties, and gravy to look forward to, while those born here have ham, cornbread and sweetcorn as well. We all enjoyed blackberry and apple custard for afters.

We are now blobbing around listening to classical music before bedtime!

Tomorrow we pack away Thanksgiving and start to haul Christmas out of the basement!!!
