Horrible grey day weather wise!

I spent this morning trying to bake some bread - my first attempt. Made two loaves and two large bread rolls. I have to say it has turned out rather well - much better than I thought it might.

Of course it did have the potential to become a Derelict Thursday challenge shot, so unfortunately this week I will not be joining in!

I also made some fresh mushroom and thyme soup - using up some leftovers from the fridge. That also turned out rather well - and was consumed with the bread rolls for our lunch.

Dogs not happy going out in the rain - so only an hour walk today. Hometime meant a nice cup of tea and some of my fresh bread with homemade apple and blackberry jam. Yum!
